CHHS is not a fundraising school and that is why we request a P & C voluntary contribution at the start of the school year. This is invested back into our school community.

 

Some of the initiatives that have been funded include:

• Parenting ideas subscription

• Rod Duggan parenting seminars

• Canteen refurbishment

• Purchase of point of sale system for canteen

• Refurbishment of the multi-court areas

• Refurbishment of school hall

• Seniors Seating area.

• Classroom resources requested by staff.

• New audio system for the Hall.

• Equipment for the newly opened student run Castle Cafe.

This year we hope to have the Seniors Seating area covered and to provide more resources for the classrooms. The P & C Voluntary Contribution that appears on your fee statement is one way to help the P & C raise money for the students. An alternative way to donate to the P & C is through our building fund and these donations are tax deductible. The email confirmation you receive can be used as a receipt.

 

We use these P & C Building funds for projects such as the Seniors Seating area and the covering and will use them to support the school with future building projects that they have. We have used our building fund to help with the refurbishment of the Northern Oval which is currently taking place in 2024.
